Our Story

How it all begun

Our Founder, Andy, has been making video games as a hobby for more than 7 years, learning from online tutorials, blogs, and other community-made content. Like all indie developers, Andy quickly realised how many different skills are required to make a game; you need code, 3D models, 2D illustrations, animations, visual effects, audio, and so on...

Game developers therefore have three choices:

• Create these assets themselves
• Buy pre-made assets from a marketplace
• Hire a freelancer/employee to make custom assets

Unfortunately, the reality is that most indie developers who attempt to create everything themselves will not see it through to the end, so asset marketplaces and freelance platforms clearly play an important role in the industry. That said, Andy has often felt disappointed with the quality of marketplace assets and freelancers he has paid for over the years, so he decided to find out if other indie developers felt the same way. The result:
